- Paper towels
- Two-dimensional surface to draw on, like cardboard, construction, or white paper
- Camera or device to take photographs
- Air-hardening clay or other sculpting material
- Objects to make texture in the clay, like a toothpick or plastic knife
- Wax paper or newspaper
- Crayons or colored pencils
