College-Level Courses in High School
Students must first select six Regular and/or Honors courses. AP courses are additional courses and do not replace or count toward the six required courses. Students may select AP courses only after completing their selection of six Regular and/or Honors courses.
An AP (Advanced Placement) Course is a college-level credit offered in high school, created by the College Board — the same organization that conducts the SAT. These courses help students challenge themselves academically and even earn college credits while still in school.
The College Board is a U.S. based nonprofit that designs programs helping students prepare for college and showcase academic readiness to universities worldwide.
