Health Science Foundations

Course Summary

This course is designed to provide the student with in-depth knowledge of the health care system and introduce them to various occupations in the field. Students will explore the educational requirements, licenses, and certifications for careers at multiple levels within the health care system. Throughout this course, students will learn what it means to have a healthy lifestyle, how to prevent disease and illness and what their responsibilities are as a patient and a future employee in the health care system. They will learn everything from applying for a job to ensuring the soft skills needed to excel in their career.​​
