International Schooling’s Accelerated Learning Program offers a personalized path for gifted and advanced learners from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Students can move ahead in a course, take on more challenging work, or progress through a grade at a faster pace when they are ready.
At International Schooling, the curriculum follows the student. The student does not have to wait for the curriculum.
The program helps students learn at the level and pace that suit them best. It is designed to keep advanced learners engaged, challenged, and excited about learning.
Moving faster is one option, but it is not the only goal. A student may benefit from studying a topic in greater depth, taking a more advanced course, or moving to the next grade. We choose the path that fits the student.
This program may be a good fit for a student who:
A student does not need to be advanced in every course. For example, a child may be ready for higher-level mathematics while continuing with their current grade in English.
Students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 can apply. Families may enquire whether their child has a formal gifted identification or simply shows signs that they need greater academic challenge.
Admission to the accelerated pathway follows an individual review. Our academic team considers the student’s learning records, current skills, goals, and readiness before recommending a plan.
Every student begins with an academic review. We then create a learning plan that may include one or more of these options:
A student can study a course at a higher level while remaining at their current level in other courses.
A student who is ready may work through the required courses at a faster pace. They must still complete the learning and assessments required for that grade.
A student can take on more complex questions, projects, and advanced work without needing to move to the next grade immediately.
Students in Grades 9–12 may explore suitable advanced courses and plan their credits with academic guidance. Course choices, graduation plans, and any university or athletic eligibility goals are reviewed individually.
Acceleration never means leaving important learning gaps behind.
There is no fixed minimum time for every student. After reviewing the student’s academic level and chosen courses, International Schooling will provide an individual learning plan and an estimated timeline.
A student can complete a grade only after finishing its required courses and assessments and receiving the school’s approval for advancement. The timeline may change if the student needs more time, additional support, or a greater challenge.
For high school students, completing a grade or graduating early also depends on meeting all applicable credit and graduation requirements. We do not promise that every student can finish a full grade within a particular number of months.
The learning plan is reviewed as the student progresses. Teachers and the academic team can adjust the level of challenge, the pace, or the next steps based on the student’s work and wellbeing.
Parents are kept informed of their child’s progress and the requirements for moving ahead. Students receive guidance so that faster learning remains a positive experience.

Yes, where the student is ready and the learning plan allows it. All required work and assessments must still be completed. There is no guaranteed completion date.

Yes. For young children, the focus is on suitable challenge and a positive learning experience. Any decision to move ahead is made with particular care.
It may be possible for an eligible student, but it is never automatic. The student must meet all graduation requirements, including the required courses and credits, and receive school approval.
Completed high school courses are recorded according to International Schooling’s academic policies. Students who meet all graduation requirements receive the school’s high school diploma.
